Granik’s last film was Winter’s Bone, and that’s basically enough for me. But then there’s the added bonus of Ben Foster, who is a tremendous actor, one of the very best working today. He’s versatile, melancholy, spirited; I could watch the guy in anything. I like this story too, and I’m excited to see how it turns out, and if the young actress playing the main character can really become a Jennifer Lawrence-type phenomenon.
