This is what Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line, The New World, The Tree of Life, To the Wonder, Knight of Cups) ought to have been doing all this time, documentary IMAX visual spectacles that have a bit of a story to tell but are basically about how the world began. His movies suck, and I’m a film critic, I should appreciate them for their beauty. Because they are beautiful, but they also suck, becoming giant, confused pieces of art that only a few can appreciate. This at least looks like art we can all enjoy.
