Dogtooth, The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer; to see a Lanthimos movie is to take a daring chance, but the result is usually something wickedly entertaining. He’s such a unique director, and I’m glad he’s found success, because his wacky vision is a breath of fresh air, and Hollywood will only benefit by being pushed away from the norm by someone who is anything but. This film looks funny and strange and uncomfortable and dirty, and the cast is brilliant. There’s really no reason not to watch.
