I don’t know, your guess is as good as mine. I was one of the few who actually enjoyed Hail, Caesar!, and this outing looks like more of the same from the Coens, a tale of tales without any real or physical point. Do we need one though, when the directors are this talented and the cast is this expansive? I’d trust this crew to give me the one movie I could take on a desert island and watch over and over; they’ve earned it from past projects. All we can do is hope they’ve still got it, and there’s really no reason to doubt.
