I, of course, played the video games, and I think I could honestly enjoy this movie, as much as I’m surprised to hear myself say that. But I do get the gripe with the animation, and here’s what I have to say about that; some people are complaining that the studio is willing to change the look after hearing the masses speak, and I think that’s a bad take. Of course they should change things up if we are disgusted by the way their animation looks, we’re the consumers, we’re who the movie is for. This isn’t art, this isn’t Picasso, we’re not trying to dictate emotions and expression here, we’re trying to tell you that, as potential audiences, we don’t like what you teased us with. That’s why studios have screenings and focus groups and whatnot, to make changes before the final product comes out, that’s how it works. Anyway, we’ll see what’s up, but I would watch this, and I would watch it more readily if they fixed Sonic.
