This is gonna sound sexist, but a love story written by a hyphenated first-time director/writer sounds like the worst thing ever. Had I not seen the trailer I would have been worried, and then, after viewing it, all my fears have come true. Are there any more cheesy elements that could possibly have been thrown into the film? Dying brother, guitar-playing hunk, crying short-haired Anne Hathaway. A resounding “No Thank You” from me.
