I had such high hopes for this one. I mean, Westerns are cool, Mads Mikkelsen is a badass, Eva Green is hot; what could go wrong? But this is either an intentionally cliched genre film or it’s the most over-dramatic attempt at a gunfighter movie I’ve ever seen. I can’t tell whether they know how silly this trailer looks or not, and I can’t decide whether this movie deserves a shot. If this town all the action takes place in is called Salvation, giving the title both literal and figurative meaning, I just might give up.
