JoPho has been nominated for an Academy Award three times: Best Supporting for Gladiator, Best Actor for Walk the Line, Best Actor for The Master. He deserves a big win, he really is one of the best actors of his generation. I don’t know if this will be the film that does it, but I think he’s got a solid chance. This movie looks haunting, brutal, and the director has shown us what she can do before (Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin); I’m crossing my fingers.
