I liked Valhalla Rising, didn’t so much Drive, though I think my incorrect expectations had a good deal to do with that, so I’m not sure what to think about this newest Refn film. To be honest, I can’t really enjoy Elle Fanning, she’s a little too odd & shallow for me. And this movie gives me a strong Lost River vibe, which was not my fav. So I know I’m being vague and IMHO-ish, but I feel like there’s strange talent here if you can just tap into, something I’m not sure I can do.
