Dev Patel’s performance here is being talk about for a potential Oscar, but I have to say, I just don’t see it. Not that I can’t be surprised, and I hope I am, but from what little we are given I don’t see any more from this film than the typical true story dramatics. It looks touching, I’m sure the acting is good, but right now I don’t feel like anything magical is going to happen. I hope I’m wrong.
