I have concerns. Namely, that this movie will be bad. Woody Allen doesn’t direct great movies anymore. Good ones, sure, sometimes, mainstream films with pretty people in them, but not great movies, game-changing movies, iconic movies. That’s a thing of the past, and understandably so; you direct as many films & for as long as Woody has and your creative pool goes dry. And I like Phoenix, I like Stone, I like Posey, and hey I love Woody Allen. But is this the return to Manhattan that we all wish it will be? Probably not.
