Movie Trailer - Epic - Archer Avenue

Director: Chris Wedge
Starring: Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrell
Release: May 24th, 2013

Ok, yeah, it does seem a little silly, a tad juvenile, and a bit of a ripoff.  But I don’t want to hear any complaining.  I guarantee you it will be twenty times better than Avatar, and that rotten tomato was nominated for a Best Picture Ocscar!  Have you no shame, Academy?!

  1. This looked great until the dialogue at the end.

R2-D2 is great because we don’t have to listen to whatever it is he is saying. We just get emotion. I hate the talking donkey/slug/zebra/Gungan characters that provide so called ‘comedic relief’.

Dreamworks and other animation studios need to pay a little more attention to Pixar. Aside from ‘Cars’ they have stayed away from that terrible crutch.

And Avatar was a fantastic experience in the theater. Was it an original story? No. But it had interesting ideas and it was visually stunning.

I agree it was not Best Picture worthy, but that’s their new thing. They throw in one blockbuster so people will watch.

    1. I agree about the dialogue. I think that they think that kids are dumb. And while, yes, some are, the majority are not, and don’t need the slugs. That said …sometimes the slugs are funny.

Yeah, the 10-12 Best Picture nominees are a joke. They just cheapen it for the winner.
