Movies like this always make me want to get off my ass and go hike for a year in the woods. Not that I enjoy hiking really, or getting off my ass for that matter, but prove-your-worth-using-nature-as-a-testing-ground movies always get me like that. Wild, Tracks, Into the Wild; I start to feel like I’m missing out on something, though the true stories don’t glorify the process and I’m probably much more mentally healthy than these people. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, A Walk in the Woods. If we think Redford & Nolte have a bit left in the tank this movie could be a great success, and perhaps it will show 50-60 years-olds that they don’t have to watch Wild Hogs to be inspired.
