Director: Benoit Jacquot
Starring: Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Clotilde Mollet
Release: June 10th, 2016
I’ve enjoyed Lea Seydoux in the few films I’ve come across her in a major role (Sister, Blue Is the Warmest Color) and she’s been appearing more & more in smaller American roles; it’s obvious she’s a true talent. I’d like her here too if the plot didn’t seem so typical & done. The period, the maid, the forbidden love, the threat of violence; we’ve seen it already, how much better can it get?
