It’s obvious that this director watched & loved L.A. Confidential, with Crowe back as the muscle, Basinger as the dame. But he seems to have combined what worked there with buddy comedy, and the result might be genius. I laughed more during this trailer than I thought I would, and yet the action still looks cool. I’m in.
