This looks like a combination of Hell or High Water, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, O Brother, and Road to Perdition, but only in the very best of ways. I didn’t know that I desperately needed to see Redford & Affleck in a movie together, but boy did I, and man am I ready to watch it right now. David Lowery is an excellent director (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, A Ghost Story), he loves him some Casey (Out of the Furnace, Manchester by the Sea), but so do I so I can’t blame him. All the pieces seem to be in place for something special, and I can’t wait to watch.
