This movie looks like a Woody Allen flick or like The Trip, but without the humor in either case. It’s also exceedingly indulgent; this isn’t reality, you & I can’t do this, we don’t have the money to drive around France eating fine food. So what’s the point here, the romance? The budding infidelity? I’m also very tired of all the Coppolas thinking they can act, direct, whatever, just because FFC was a genius a long time ago. Just because Eleanor is his wife doesn’t mean that she’s a filmmaker.
