Guy Ritchie has come a long way since Lock Stock and Snatch. And by ‘a long way’ I mean he’s moved to another country, suffered amnesia, and forgotten how to make good movies. I was so excited about this film, but I really shouldn’t have been. It’s nothing but a bad combination of A Knight’s Tale and Sherlock Holmes, an action-soaked, poorly-acted mess of a movie that I have no confidence in after having watched the trailer. I hope I’m dead wrong, but I doubt it.
