I’m not sure if they changed the title or if it was a working title, but this movie used to be called Guernsey, and now it’s The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which is a stupid name so I refuse to call it that.  Anyway, this movie looks cheesy of course, but I think I still want to see it.  Mainly because Lily James is a phenom, a real star in the making.  She can do so much, and it would take me a long time to list all the things I think she’s been fantastic in.  It’s nice to see some of Downton Abbey reuniting for this film (at least four actors), and there is plenty of other talent on display here too, so I’m hopeful that the skill will outshine the sap and that we will be pleasantly surprised by something more than a historical romance.
